Montaigu de Quercy

The bustling market town of Montaigu de Quercy is situated in the Tarn et Garonne department of South West France.  With origins which date from the 12c century, it's castle having been built by Raymond V of Toulouse, Montaigu de Quercy is steeped in history.  An attractive town with narrow steeply rising streets and pretty half timbered houses

On Saturday mornings this lively villiage has a typical french market.  Take time to stroll around and try the locally produced, cheeses, magret, cherries and of course wine.

Moissac

The Cloisters

Situated on the north bank of the Tarn River, Moissac is famous for the Abbey of St Pierre and it's world famous cloisters.  Unfortunately most of the town was destroyed by the flooding in 1930, but thankfully the Abbey survived and is well worth a visit.

Also on the ancient pilgrimage route of Santiago di Compostela, Moissac is a bustling and vibrant town and has a market every Sunday morning.

Lauzerte

Founded by the Count of Toulouse in 1241, Lauzerte is one of the 100 most beautiful villages in France.  Sitting high on the hilltop, with stunning architecture and wonderful views, Lauzerte is also on the route to Santiago di Compostela
